Amps with no Fuses safe?

So do you judge size of fuse by the RMS output of amp?

I ordered a 1500RMS amp with no internal fuses. I was advised when I ordered it to fuse by amp atleast 100A+ and have a bigger fuse by battery.

So would a 100A fuse be good enough for a 1500W RMS amp?
