Amps way louder sometimes then others?

Alright, so I already checked all my volts and they are fine around 14.2-14.4.

Last night I get in my car to go to my friends house and it sounded like someone cranked up my door speaker amp cause it was pretty much drowning out my sub because my ears were hurting so bad from the door speakers. After I was at his house for a while we went to the store and before I left I turned the gain down so I could still sit in it when it was up.

Then this morning on the way home my door speakers were quiet as hell, it does not vary when im driving just from different times of the day after I start up the car.

I tried searching with no results so can someone try and help me out, if you need more info I will be happy to give it, thanks.

I redid the RCAs but now it seems like the sub is doing it, today at lunch it was pounding the hell out of my rearview mirror on the way to kfc. On the way home from work tonight it was bearly doing anything.

This just puzzles me. The main set of RCA's is coming from the HU to the infinity amp, and then out the infinity amp to the door speaker amp. My door speaker amp has not flipped out on me yet but it sounds like the sub is way louder then other times, do I just need to run separate RCA's?

There is two sets, but currently I dont have extra ones to run, is there any way to test if thats the real problem though?

The MTX amp you have... Does it have noise rejection circuitry?

The reason I'm asking is because my PPI amps have a noise rejection circuit, and I've noticed that when there is less humidity, where there was a slight engine whine in my old amps, now the PPI's reject the noise, but the volume lowers...

I had to re-route the RCAs so they weren't getting any unwanted noise for the amps to be more stable...

If you have got noise rejecting circuitry, you won't hear any engine whine, but the volume will suffer....
