Amps not stable in one car but are in others.

I ran a Hifonics Brutus 1200 watt amp at less than half an hour for about 3 months in a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze with 4 gauge power/ground on the stock ~600CCA battery. The sub was a D.7ohm Atomic. The amp never went into protect mode and never shut off. I did blow the fuse between the amp and battery but the amp was always stable.

The same amp and sub combo in my 2007 Buick Lacrosse with a ~900CCA DieHard Platinum battery and 4 gauge power/ground shuts off at medium volumes.

I also have a 2002 Durango with an 1800 watt Audiopipe amp running the D.7ohm Atomic sub what a battery that was 800CCAs with 4 gauge power/ground that was stable with the Atomic sub. The Audiopipe + Atomic sub combination in the Buick Lacrosse = not stable, but why??

I have run the Audiopipe 1800 watt amp @ 1ohm (what it's rated for) in the Lacrosse flawlessly and an 1500 watt Hifonics amp at 1ohm (also what it was rated for) flawlessly as well.... I know none of the mentioned amps are rated below 1 ohm but why did they work fine in other cars but not the Buick Lacrosse?

Thanks

My assumption is that your ground was bad in that car
That could be true, but I grounded it like I did in the other vehicles, sanded off the excess paint and grounded it to bare metal. I will have to double check to make sure it's on there good because I would much rather be running 2000+ watts to the Atomic sub than wiring it to 1.4ohm and getting less than 1500.

The ground point itself might not be good.... my friend kept having problems with his amp, and when I checked out his ground he had it grounded into the plastic brake light.... lmao

I think the ground was loose. I set the amp on top of the ground point (underneath the carpet) this morning before I drove to work and it didn't shut off. That must of been the issue.
