amps and crossovers

I have an external electronic crossover feeding zapco reference series amps that have their own crossovers.

Is it better to use the seperate crossover or the amps? Or is their any difference?

Though what's the point of an external crossover if you're not going to use it ?

If you were to bi amp your mids and highs, I would go external. If you are just high passing to components at 50-150Hz or low passing to subs, the crossover onboard the amp will work IMO.

Thats what i was wondering. I currently am not biamping to mids and tweets. So I do not think I need the external crossover.

In a few months I might start using the symbi link system also, if I do that, the external crossover is definitely gone.
