Amplifier Recommendation?

Hey i have a question about ohms and amplifiers and i hope you guys can answer this question. first of all i have 2 different subs one is:

FI:N215

Its rated for 2000 watts RMS and either 1 ohm or 2 ohm dual VC. Is there any amps you guys could recommend that would run this sub good?

The other sub is:

B&C 15NW100

This one is rated for 1000 watts RMS and is set for 8 OHMS (its a House Speaker) the only reason i'm considering this speaker is because in the future i wish to have a full B&C setup in the car. I'd just like to know if there was any amp that could run this sub since most of the amps that go up to 1000 watts RMS are rated for 1 or 2 ohms.

>.

You need to figure out what voice coil you have... but I'll scour up a couple 2k @ 1ohm amps on here...

This would be a good match, killer price too, it's mint!: http://www.caraudio.com/forums/amplifier-classifieds/536840-american-bass-vfl-120-1-mint-**pics**.html

If you end up needing power at 2 ohms.... you'd be much better off finding something like a SAZ 1500 and wiring it at .5. Or something like this Skar: http://www.caraudio.com/forums/amplifier-classifieds/535694-skar-audio-sk-1500-1d.html

For budget i don't want to spend more then 800 on an amp just because i need some breathing room to get 6 voice speaker to fill out my trunk and to go along with the sub. Already have the build i want to do in mind. Its gunna run me almost 3g (without including the price of batteries and a HO alternator) but i hope when im done its gunna be worth it =)

Also why do you think the Fi would be better? Not to sound like im fighting your recommendation just wanna know the thoughts behind it lol. Since they are both priced equally i just want to know the difference between them. The sub and the amp for the sub are the only things missing before the list for my build is complete and i can start building the boxes and buying the speakers.

Oh my, well $800 is more than enough for a whole slew of amps so I wouldn't worry about that.

And it's a build going into a car... so I think the speaker built for a car environment would work better. Especially with the other being a 8ohm HT sub. It's not like you're going to notice a difference in sound quality. I mean, there may be better options than the Fi, but I'd pick it over some HT sub. That said, the Fi is still an excellent pick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Yeah i was looking around at amps and i was seeing that most amps around 2000 watts started at 800 brand new. Even though that's 2 months worth of paychecks i figured hey once i get out into the "REAL" world ill never have a chance why not do it now when i have the time and a safety net just in-case i go flat broke! and if you think using a HT sub is ridiculous your gunna hate the rest of my build //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif 6 B&C 6MDN44 >=)

Sounds like a giant clusterfuck in the making.

I'd use the B&C, no question, but it'll likely require a much larger enclosure than you'd normally expect. No point in using that many speakers, either.

Well I'd say the most sensible thing you can do in this build then is at least buy some stuff used. Cus you can still get some mint gear at a much better price. Like the AB I linked up there above.

And yeah i noticed. When I looked at the price i was surprised. If I buy used stuff i might save some cash i didn't really think about buying anything used.

Clusterfuck? Why? And i was counting on my dad to help me build the boxes since i don't know how to determine how much space a speaker needs and he used to do this for a living. I thought since they were both 15's they'd both use the same box size but i guess i was wrong?

You said you were looking at new 2000 watt amps for $800. Idk what you're looking at that cost $800 for 2000 watts, which is where my question came from.
