Amplifier Output

If I were to buy a mono channel amplifier but it had 2 outputs (2 positives and 2 negatives) would it be bad on the amplifier if I only used one of the outputs? I plan on running my subs at 2 ohms so I don't mean bridging it, but just using one of the outputs.
