Have you messed with the HU, like take it out change any wires or anything like that since you had your prior amp! Do you have another amp that you can install (temp) to see if the same thing happens.

i have a question too which amp would be best for kicker l7 15'' 4 ohm (brand and type plz) thnks

Interesting....Cause if you take it off the amp and it shuts off then I don't think is the amp...Weird.....Could the remote have gotten tangled with another wire?? Have you pulle dthe HU out and checked the wires?

Thats tomorrows project I guess.. I dont know how it could have crossed another wire, the remote was soldered and wrapped in electrical tape.

I bought a switch at radio shack... In case I dont find the problem.
