OK so here is the situation. I am driving and take a sharp turn and since my sub box isnt bolted down it slid and the wires came out. So i check it out and my amp is way deep in the trunk so i couldn't see which wire was positive or negative so i just tested both ways out and nothin worked. Then i look at the amplifier output gauge and its not moving at all with the music turned on. I checked out the wiring and its straight but can anyone tell what the problem might be?

or you fried the amp, I've had people come to me after they tried to install by themselvs and ended up grounding tham to the battery.. which pops all kind of traces and small caps inside.

good luck getting that fixed, always bolt chit down.

peace,

John

Yeah my mtx amp had a peice of dog hair touch the positive and the negative and then next thing i know it didnt work, i loked inside of it and it was burned up all inside, and the only reason i knew it was dog hair was becuz there was a burnt half on the positive and the other on the ground......... GOD DAM DOG

yes actually it does, hair is very high in conductivity, just like skin cells, ask anybody that is into computers that if you leave the cover off, after a while skin cells will build up and cause a spark.....

Hair doesn't have enough current carrying capacity to fry an amp. Believe me. It would burn up instantly in that case.

Sure in a computer I could see that, there are very delicate components in there. But not an amp.
