Amplifier for Diamond Audio D6

Im thinking of going with two 12" Diamond Audio D6's and was wondering if the Diamond audio D6 1500.1 amplifier would be enough power to push those subwoofers?

its a perfect match.......I own that amp.

That amp I used to run my pair with - it will feed each sub 900+w if your running 2 D4s:yumyum:

and that amp is also regulated and made in the USA

Is the Diamond Audio D6 1500.1 safe to run at 1ohm. I know it states its stable to run at 1 ohm but I just wanted to make sure before I purchase the amplifier and subs

yes it is safe. they are great, solid, and bullet proof amps. diamond makes a great amplifier that will never fail you. i have a d5 1200.1 that i run a 1 ohm, and it plays for hours on end at ridiculous volumes in my boat. i cant be happier with that amp. they are extremely strong as well. i highly reccomend the d6 1500.1.

I ran mine 8 hours a day at 1ohm in my work truck for about a year

and its still working fine......... Dont sweat it bro,she can handle the load:laugh:

Ok next question do these subs like to be put in a sealed or ported enclosure? I ofcourse want it to be loud but then I still want good SQL.

I have my solo D6 in a ported box right now. Doesn't have quite as much SQ as the D6 that I heard in a sealed box. But the output amazing and the SQ is still phenominal compared to other subs I've heard.

I have an M612 in an Audioenhancers box and it pwns....

My M6mkII (same sub as the D6) is ported as well - it sounds great and will get plenty loud with a quick twist clockwise of the volume knob!

As already stated the D61500.1 will run perfectly safe at 1 Ohm (as well take into account you'll get some impedence rise as the coils heat up so it won't be running at a flat 1 Ohm constantly) and its output is a great match for a pair of D6 12s. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Enjoy!

I noticed on their website it gives you the specs to build a port box. Should I follow those specs?

In the right box I like the ported,even for SQ..I have an M612 in an Audioenhancers box and it pwns....

if a ported box is built right they sound amazing.

what are your guys thoughts on elemetal designs products? Or should I just go with the Diamond Audio stuff?
