amplifier connection help

I currently have my dual 2 ohm sub paralleled to 1 ohm for My directed 1500d. The amp has 2 sets of positives and negatives. So i have a positive going to one terminal and a negative going to the other terminal(using both). I just looked on the directed site for the amp and it says to just use 1 terminal(+ and - to just 1 terminal). I thought you were supposed to use both terminals when bridging. Should I just use the 1 terminal or what?

it means that the channels are already "bridged" so to speak...if your sub is wired at 1ohm, and you use either sets of terminals, it will create a 1ohm load on the amp.

When you "bridge" an amp is when you combine two amplifier channels into one to make more power, a mono amplifier has only one channel so it can't be bridged, nor does it have the need to.

A lot of sub monoblock sub amps have more than one set of speaker connections, but that is purely for ease of installation.
