ampere aa3800.1 prototype.

So I recently got one of these amps. I was told that it was a prototype. Didn't think anything of it. Maybe cause I'm new to the car audio game. But some people told me that the prototypes aren't always the right choice... can someone answer this for me please.

There's a difference between "prototype" and unbadged. It probably just doesn't have any badges on it.

Looks pretty much identical to the original Sundown 3500.

If it truly is a prototype that's generally better than production model since even the buildhouses that would cheap out here and there down the road would take special care to make a rock solid prototype in hopes of making the larger sale.

That makes me feel better. Yes it does look like the saz3500. And the only difference from the porduc line it's the two stripes then lol.

Looks fine ..often times companies test a few diff boards as protos...the aa3800 is the same as a saz3500v1..that looks like the one the put into production
