I have a Pioneer gmdx 971 amplifier pushing 2 skar sdr 12 dual voice coils in the loaded ported box. All is at 1 ohm. They sound amazing until after I got them broke in good, now they play fine for about 10 minutes, then make a funny sound while they cut out. Then after a few seconds come back on again. They only do this at a high volume not max. My amplifier is going into protect mode when this happens. I called tech support, they said I need to use better power wire, got cheap stuff, or not grounded good. I also have it on a 2.0 capacitor with voltage readout, its staying above 14.v This is in a 2011 Silverado with a optima battery, with 4 guage cheap😇 power and ground wire on a 150 amp circuit breaker. My stock alternator is 140 amp. Please whats going on? My head unit is pioneer 1400 nex. Is it the cheap power wire? I have it grounded on a bolt also. I do believe the amp is fine as it plays at low volume fine.

Get rid of the cap, switch to 1/0 ofc, check all grounds are tight and clean. Big 3 too

Is it 2/0 Or 2 guage welding? 2 guage welding is the equivalent to 4 guage audio. Should be fine. You could also get reducers

I would go with what’s cheaper. The knu Audio stuff may be more flexible But I’d you’re not doing figure 8’s and **** you’ll be fine. Remember that welding wire is what actual welders use so it’s not junk. 2awg welding eill be the same size as that knu 4 guage.

Ok Thanks

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
