Do most amps cut off if the voltage gets to low, even though nothing else cuts off. Because my 2500d cuts off every now and then when I cank it up, not always though. And I noticed that at idle with the system down, im only at 12.8v:crap:

Wrong load (impendance) on the amp. What sub/subs you running with that amp?

An improperly set gain or bass boost causes clipping.

Where is your gain set? How did you set it? Using any bass boost? How low does your voltage drop when playing the amp full tilt?
