Amp wont turn on?!!

Okay i'm driving and have my subs blaring, then all of a sudden my subs cut out. Please no one tell me the fuse on my amp is blown because THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM. I have switched the fuse out several times on that amp. After that hadn't worked, i put my amp that the subs came with in and connected everything correctly, and it still wont work. Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

You need to check voltages. Your remote wire probably came off somewhere. If the LED is not on that means you lost 12 to the remote wire. If it's on and the amp is not putting out anything you either have a loose speaker connection or you blew it up. Invest in a DMM. If you don't own a DMM, don't install a system!

use a test light and check to see if you have power at thr remote and power wires at the amp.use the ground on the amp for your ground point.ifyou have power at both points and ground is good, thenyou need to check the voltage to see if there is enough,if all is ok then your amp maybe bad

well the subs cut out in the middle and im assuming it involves a fuse somewhere I just can't seem to find out where. I don't have a DMM nor know anyone that does :\
Well... then you need to go buy one. Otherwise tear your HU out and check what the previous poster said about your remote wire. I would also check your ground. It sounds like you don't have your amp mounted correctly, you hit a bump and it jumped around pulling your ground from wherever you have it mounted. Mount your amp and box so they don't move. Live and learn.

i already checked the ground, its good, my amp is mounted perfectly considering audio works had done it, and i am awful with car audio so even if i bought a dmm i wouldn't even know how to use the thing
Then you need to tear everything out of your car and sell it immediately. This is not the hobby for you.

Or take it to someone who knows what they're doing.

Yeah you're right, this isn't the hobby for me, that's why i'm not doing this as a hobby! All I'm trying to do is get some help so I can get my system working. Never once had I that I'm doing this as a hobby. I just can't afford to take it in right now so I'm trying to do it by myself.

Well we're trying to help you and your acting like a total dumbass. A 5 year old can measure voltages with a DMM. So go to walmart, spend the 3$ for one, and get out there and check your voltages!

This information might help, sorry for not providing this. My amp i had in the car produced to much power for my subs i believe so when I had my music up loud it would cut out then come back on. This time it did the same thing but the amp never came back on. I've checked the fuses and put a completely different amp in that is less powerful and I'm positive the fuse isn't blown. Maybe that will help? Not sure
