AMP WON'T TURN ON......trouble-shoot

NEW PROBLEM!!... starting post #12

I tested 12.5V car off at the amp, so its getting power.... tried jumping a new remote turn on wire....still didn't turn on.. radio turns on fine... I dunno where else to go?? And im running out of daylight quickly!!

Checked AND tested all fuses on the amp... all are good

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP...everything looks like it should work!

anybody know where to locate a diagram of an alpine wire harness?? i wanna make sure I have this hooked up to the right wire.. im 99% sure I do

ok... so all you alpine fans.. get this one.....

Apparently when the radio is on STANDBY it doesnt put out power... i flipped it over to CD and the fockin thing turned on!!! this BS has costed me like 2hrs!!

hahaha that reminds me off a time i had 8 memphis 1000d's just hooked everything up had a home made rca junction box. well it took me 3 hours to figure out that I never hooked my rcas from my line driver to the junction box. lol i miss those days

no no sheit!!.. i was ready to go somewhere tomorrow and get it looked at cause I was gettin to frusterated!!

started at 11am this morning!!... just finished (930PM)... 10.5hrs.. with a 20 min. lunch... went hard all day, got the whole system back in...didnt have time to tune it again, but I think my front right mid is playing only tweet for some reason...thought I wired it up right....

I put both tweets on CH. 1/2, and both mids on CH.3/4.... didnt think I could mess it up but....?? front right mid plays fine...???

anybody else know that-that happened though??? standby=no remote turn on

ok.......................now that the amp is on and everythin is wired up... I was playin the radio for the first time...and as I turned it up, the "CUR" light came on the amp, and the speakers shut out????!!!

I have the mids wired to CH. 1/2, and the Tweets wired to CH 3/4... because the setting (like Frequ/HP/LP all work in pairs on that amp... so in order to tune it right i figured i'd have to tune the mids together, and the tweets together... The problem this causes is obviously im trying to give the mids more power from ch. 1/2 vs. the tweets on ch. 3/4.....

Do i have to wire a mid and tweet to ch. 1/2 and a mid and other tweet to ch 3/4

Also... I slowly started to pull the RCA's out of the amp.... I only had 1 RCA in, and all the speakers were working... this makes NO sence to me... any suggestions?? I hate wiring comps.!!! Labeled all the wires, didnt think I could mess it up

ya, same stuff happens to me. everytime i hook up car audio anything, it never works 1st time thru, or it dont work right. i started installing my kenwood h/u on monday, it still isnt in. finally found out the yellow power cable on the harness isnt getting power, hopefully its just a fuse... but who knows.... atleast w/ my luck

u sure its the yellow wire thats power and not the Red one?
