Amp won't stop going into protection mode

So my amp keeps cutting off the power to my subs. It mainly occurs when I try to get my subs louder. It didn't do this as often a month ago. I think it was after a day of delivering pizza with it bumpin all day, amp got hot and my fuses blew, I believe ever since then it's been acting like a wimp. I'm wondering a few things

I have stock electrical system, would the amp protect itself because its supply is inadequate?

my subs run 300rms my amp runs 900rms, did I ruin my subs which is causing my amp to protect itself? (that would be awesome, been tryin to swap them out but gotta hurt em first)

whatever it is, it keeps randomly protecting itself and when I turn my HU off and back on it gives subs power again (till I push it again)

check your settings. you probably have your gains set too high.

could be a ground issue. where is your amp grounded? make sure its on the chassis of the car and you could try removing the paint for a better connection

subs wired right, sound warehouse installed the amp so I gotta find where it was grounded. could my alternator or battery be dying on me or something?

could it be something wrong with the subs, they are kickers lol

well the gains were almost double what it is now and it was running awesome, now it won't do crap. someone said lack of voltage coukd cause it to protect itself, would that still have nothin to do with battery or alt?

so my power wasn't secured properly to the back of the amp, we'll see how it acts now, the amp never turned off though, it always just stopped powering my subs
power might have been disconnecting and re-connecting when you roll over stuff. make sure everything is secure. if your power wire touched any metal, that couldve been your car.

scary.. lol well it's acting better now, still protected itself rather soon it seemed, I'm going to make those punks show me where they put the ground so I can check that to
