I have an amp (LA 150.2) that i wanted to fix. but not really sure where to start. It doesnt matter if I have the REM wire in or not as long as the power and ground wire are on the amp. The amp wont turn off. It stays warm and says it still has power even when the car is off. So im guessing somewhere near the power connection something is not attached or working right. Can anyone help me out?

well i have the cover off the amp. nothing on the board seems blown. no brown or anything were it may have blown. I dont even have to have the REM wire in for the amp to work. It just stays on with the power and ground.

I know that. That's why I said check to see if the terminals are reading as a short. Please pull out your DMM and get checking. If it shows a short, follow the lines in the PCB to a point where it looks like they could be touching.

theres usually a diode between the hot and remote inside the amp,if it blows then that is excatly wat happens, check for a diode on the pc board inbetween the tracks of the remote and hot.
