Amp with home stereo

I was wondering about the remote turn on, do i have to have one. If i don't have a remote turn on, willl the amp just stay on all the time?

Where can one of these be bought? I also have a old 400 watt amp sitting in my garage and I would be interested in using it for in-home use.

Tripplite makes them reasonably priced. Check out http://www.tripplite.com/ and look up DC Power Supplies. Find the model you need then search their distributor's sites for prices.

Wire the remote and power wire together. Turn the amp on with the power supply's switch.
