Ok I'm new to the adding a battery to my electrical so I have a few questions.....I plan on doing the big 3 and putting an extra battery in the trunk (deka intimidator)..I'm gonna run some good 1/0 ofc wire from the front battery with an inline anl fuse about a foot from the front battery...Do I need to fuse the power wire coming off the back battery going to the amps? How do i do the grounds? Can I just ground the back battery then run the 1/0 sub amp wire and the 4awg high amp wire into a distribution block and run a 1/0 from the distribution block right to the negative of the back battery...the amps I will be running are a crossfire bmf1700 at 1ohm..and a ppi pc4100 which is 100x4@ 4ohm..thanks for any help

i put a fuse from my amp to back batt and front batt to back batt.. you cant be too safe..

i grounded the battery to my frame. amp was grounded to a peice of metal connected to the frame and does fine. but it is best to go to the frame. so i suggest doing it

Yes, put a fuse between your back battery(s) and your amps. Or use a fused distribution block.

Usually a 200-250amp fuse is fine for a fuse block if you're driving 1700+ 400 watts RMS.

It will prevent your car from catching on fire in the event that you get a short in the 0/1 wire between your rear battery and front battery. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
