Amp went out.

My friend was driving and his subwoofer went out. So he goes and checks the fuses and all fuses are good, but the power light on the amplifier won't turn on. What could be the problem?

Protect mode?

What amplifier, and what impedance load is he running the subs at?

Get a DMM and check all the wiring for power, especially the REM.

He's got a JL W0 bridged to a 8.0:4 four channel amp.

What is the coil config on the w0?

There may be a problem with the remote turn-on wire; there may be a poor connection at the battery or at the fuse holder; there may be a problem in your amp. Only your multimeter knows for sure.
