Amp want stay on.

I'm posting for a nephew of mine. He's having trouble with the installation of a Jensen amp. It'll come on for 5-8 seconds then shut off. Could it be the speaker or ground. He's used both a used Jensen XDA94RB and a XDA92RB (1000w&600w) the latter being new so we know it's not a amp problem. Please understand he nee to this and I'm just posting for him since I don't know much about this myself. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Taking a few pictures for us would help.

I agree, some photos of the amp / wiring and such could be a place to start. If you have a multi-meter you can measure voltage at the amp to make sure it's getting power and proper remote voltage.

Ground the amp better. Find a new spot. Clean with sandpaper and BOLT down.

Thanks for your reply, but my nephew hasn't sent me any pictures since I've posted this. He was supposed to yet he's forgot. Thanks for your reply. Sorry to have wasted your and my time. Next time it'll be for myself and I'll provide those pictures when asked.

Will tell him, sorry for it taking so long to get back. At present if he's not changed anything it's grounded to a stud on the trunk floor.
