Re-read what I said, and I think you will find that you read wrong the first time. I never mentioned anything about the Tantrum being PG's flagship, did I?

you made it sound that way...either way not a big deal agreed hell of a line.

I used to love both companies, now the Octane amps are trashy (from literature I have literized) and MTX just is getting cheaper by the minute. I would chose neither.

you stated they were trashy, and you gave no solid proof besides the rms vs power from the lit. so Im askign you to give me something else to prove that they are trashy besides the lit.

I clearly stated in my first post that I had read it. Reading the experiences of others, while not a direct source, is a secondary source I believe, and many times I open up other possible personal opinions with the experiences others have had. Did you miss the part where I mentioned that the information I was giving was from reading?

where???maybe im not seeing it or something, but all you say is that you have read the lit.. any way dont care that much Im nto into arguing about the octane line to entry level for me dipite the fact I have one sitting next to me right now. But thought was funny you were asking for solid proof about ampsbeing decent from towncar such as a benchtest without providing solid evidence for your statement that the octane line was trash besides secondary info.

I have owned both brands,and PG was not a pleasurable experience

whic the MTX was a powerhouse and lasted many years

How hard is it for you to understand that telling someone an opinion via others personal experience and another person assuring results with no proof are two entirely different standpoints? I can say that others said they **** ***, ya know why? Because I have read the reviews and talked to other people about them. I'm not saying they are from experience, I'm saying they are in the eyes of some others. ou and Towncar on the other hand are trying to push a fact (they put out rated power) with no such evidence.

Opinion and fact, learn the difference.

Yes they do put out rated ower But seriously, ask around, or personally bench test one for yourself.. You will se that they will put out no less than 1kw. You cant please everyone, but the octane has been a reliable amp for pg.

ive never heard anyone complain about the amps quality...just the power rating they used...I think the max power is a little janky...but its only marketing and doesnt effect the use one gets from the amp.
