Amp Upgrade and Some Thoughts...

Well due to the recent channel blowout in my 4 channel amp, I had to upgrade sooner than I had planned. So I got the Alpine MRP-F450. I had planned to get the new MRP-F550 this summer, but due to unforseen circumstanses, I thought it better to go this route. I already love this amp. Clean is the word here. It's a real beauty. The ground loop noise is gone. Woo! hoo! The is joy once again in Muddville.

Hey I'm going to be getting this amp also, could you tell me what wiring kit you used and where you got it. I've never installed an amp before and I'm having a little trouble figuring out the wiring kits. I've heard really good things about that amp though.

Got it from Crutchfield. I already had a 4 channel amp in before so I didn't need any kits. This will work fine with a 8 gauge kit. You heard right about this amp. You will love it. It is so clean. You can get a monster amp kit for about 40.00 bucks or so.

On Crutchfields website it says when runningamps in 4 channel mode you need two patch cables. So do I need to buy another patch cable with this also?

Also the Crutchfield website says the amp comes with a free installation guide. Is this the same guide found at the link below or is it a custom guide?
