Amp turns on and off

Hmm I got a very weird problem guys. I got a Hifonics BX1000D but every a couple of minutes or so it turns off and thena few seconds/minutes later it turns back on. It just turns off-doesn't get into protect mode. I checked the vonnections and they seem fine and made double-checked the remote turn on connection but that seems fine also.

It seemed to me that it'd be the remote wire since I have another amp connected to the wire and it turns off and on too.

I had this setupd for months and all was perfect.

Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.

It could be the HU, does the HU stay on the whole time?

Or a bad REM output on the headunit.

my bro had the same problem with his system.

the problem was the Sony xlpod HU remote wire. the amp work find with my HU.

so we just connected the remote wire to the 12V switched power (RED wire) that go to the HU.

now my bros system sound good.

i had that problem with the kicker 1200.1 and i took it apart and messed with a few things(had no idea what i was doing) but when i hooked it back up it powered up and stayed on fine but now i have no sound.

I am still convinced that it is either the HU or the HU remote wire....try other amps, and hooking your amp up to different HUs

check ur connections again. it sounds like ur remote is loose. possibly a bad ground, i had same problem and it was my ground.
