amp turning off?

I have 2 12" mmats pro-casts in a sealed box powered by a jbl 1200.1 running at 1 ohm. The problem is, when it's playin loud and hits deep bass the amp turns of and back on and the red light on the amp comes on for 1 second. The subs also sounds like it bottomed out. I had the same setup in my old car just it was a ported box and it never did that? Is there something wrong with my amp. thanks

Try turning your gains/bass boost down, possibly might be going into protect from clipping, also what size power wire are you running?

im using 4 guage power and ground wire

Ok, 4 gauge should be enough for that amp, possibly check that the ground is grounded well and the amp is seeing enough current, and if that is not the problem nor the gains being set too high, i don't know what to tell ya //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
