Amp turning off

Well I have a zx1000.1 amp with 2 L5s, it sound great at low volume but once i get the volume over half way up the amps red fault light turns on and the subs stop bumpin, then they start again when i turn it down, whats the problem here? I would really appreciate any help that you have to offer to resolve the issue, thanks

loose ground maybe as well

id check all wires, most likely your problem.

Clipping gains set to high. What kind of box. Too big too small. Mabye ohm load too. Loose ground.

I totally turned off the bass boost on the amp and set the gain correctly, problem solved.. Thanks guys.
