Amp turning off/on, repeating, protect? or what...

I hooked up one of my new 10" cvxs to a 350.2 (bridged it) and for some reason the amp would come on for a few seconds, bump the sub a little, then turn off for a few seconds... then it would repeat. The sub is wired positive to positive, negative to negative, then ran straight to my amp (bridged)

the sub has dual 4 ohm coils, any ideas?

i thought maybe the amp was going into protect, but then i realized that one sub wired to a 1ohm load isnt actually a 1ohm load, but a 2 ohm... right? you need two subs to have a 1 ohm load the way i have my sub wired. so it should have worked because that amp is 2 ohm stable.

The 350.2 is not stable to 2 ohms mono, as far as I know. So, that's one problem.

It's stable to 2 ohms in stereo and 4 ohms in mono. You can wire each sub to 2 ohms and hook each one to a separate channel, or wire them in series/parallel to 4 ohms and bridge it (preferred method).
