Amp turn-on question

Whenever I turn my car on, my Diamond D3 400.4 seems to get turned on a few seconds before my D6 1500.1 does. There's vocals and then about 4-5 seconds later the bass will finally get going. It's not much of a problem to me, but I was just wondering if there's a few to have them on at the same time or why there's a delay for the subwoofer amplifier.

my JBL 1200.1 used to take a few seconds to kick in

not sure why.. might be to protect the subs or the amp or w/e

that d3 is a a/b and the d6 is a class d, correct? maybe that also has something to do with it

How do you have the remote wires running to both amps? I think theres a delay when Remote wire went from Hu>amp>amp. But running both remote wires from the HU seperatly to both amps makes a different. really nothing to worry about tho if its running correctly

My brothers old system did that as well. We always assumed it was just how the amp was designed to protect either the amp or the sub.

We actually liked it, because the system would come on, then a second later the bass would kick in...lol

I don't see how that could make any difference.
I guess its just another right/wrong way of doing things...running remote wires from amp to amp is called a daisy chain. and if the amps dont support it you may not get a signal out of one. But if yours is working then should be fine

Actually in this case, it makes absolutely no difference. There is no such thing as an amp that "doesn't support it". I think you are confusing this with wiring in series. All he is doing in this case is moving the split very very very close to one of the amps. It's not like the signal flows into the amp and then comes out at a different point which he is attaching to another amp...he's just shoving two wires in one terminal. This is a common technique when wiring multiple subwoofers or DVC subwoofers.
