Amp turn-on lead

I recently purchased an 03 Mustang Mach 1 and it has the Mach 460 stereo upgrade.

I have never messed with a stock audio system, other than ripping it out to change it all. But the Mach sounds decent (Mids and Highs) and all I really want to do is add a sub.

I found that it already was set up that way, evident by the Line Converter (Tsunami FL-LOC600) mounted between the rear speaker amps. It is already wired up and all I have to do is plug the RCA cables into an Amp.

My question; What would be the easiest way to hook up the Power-On lead to the Amp I add? There is one brown lead from the converter that is unused, but it did not power up when I checked it with the test-light.

I cannot locate any manuals for the converter either. I dont want to wire the turn-on power to an ignition source, I really do not want a toggle mounted in the Mach for turning the sub Amp on either. I just want the sub amp to turn on when the radio is powered up. I assumed that the Line Converter did this also.

Any help would be appreciated.

My friend has that same stock setup . . . i think it sounds like absolute *** and distortion but whatever suits you. . . . . .

I would re-do the whole thing!

all i have to say is, im sorry that you have to work on that...they are a pain in the ***...as far as a turn on lead..i couldnt find a fuse that would work..the radio fuse kept it on w/ the car off... ignition did the same thing, so we just bought a switch and wired that up

I just went out and tried again with the test light. There are 3 wires into the stock amps that are powered - Ignition on and Ignition off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

I cant do the toggle switch. It would look ghey //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Hmm...maybe if ya could find a really neat looking milled aluminum push button type of toggle switch? That'd be neat...heck, I have a working remote lead and I may do something like that if I ever run across one!
