Amp trouble?

Hey guys..Umm i have recently tried to hook a sub up to a brand new amp..it lights up..but no sound from the sub..Any ideas what could be wrong?

Umm its a cheap fusion audio 600 watt amp, the rca cables idk the brand fo them i cant remember they r rated for 1600 watts, i havent messed with my head unit.. i just plugged the rcas in the back of cd player hooked up the remote..like i said the amp is lit up green but sub not getting any power
