Amp trouble?

My friends amp is taking like a minute to power off. The amp is a Power Akoustic LT1440-2. He has 2 Audiobahn 12's. He had it hooked up before and his battery kept dying. Its a 92 Buick Century. Is it alright if it takes that long to power off?
