My friends family finally upgraded from there 1996 Magnavox big screen to a 62" Hitachi plasma today. I got off school today at 11:00 am so I came over to hook it up along with the Sony dvd/5.1 speaker combo thing they got also. I took about 2 hours to get everything done. They only reason it took so long is because I had my friends dad's friend who is re-doing the basement over with me to help and his pinky is broken so its in a cast and I cant lift the tv by myself so I had to wait untill my friend got home to help lift it. So I wired up the Comcast HD box and dvd player with component cables (they didnt want to spend another $100 for HDMI cables), sat back and watched some tv.

We watched snakes on a plane, which looked pretty good and sounded awesome from those little speakers and sub. Then after the movie my friend wanted to watch American Ido, so he went to the standard FOX station and it look alright. Not that good though for a plasma. I told him to go to the HD Fox, he changed it and ****, It looked like you were in the room with all the people. lol Clear as fuk.

But spending $4000 on a tv to have the regular stations look all grainy and having my 5 year old Samsung tv look better isnt worth it right now. Even thought it looks awesome on HD and movies //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thats all

and if you think that looked good tell him to get hd-dvd or blu ray and say king kong, hulk, ant bully, the wild, crank any of those titles and trust me he will never buy another dvd ever...

Yea I know. Im sure they will eventually get one.

1080p is where it's at on Blu-Ray!! You think HD tv looks good, check out Blu-ray!!!

Only have 3 movies so far (X-Men 3, Four Brothers and Talladega Nights_ but I am picking up Gridiron Gang tomorrow and Beer Fest next week....DVD looks so bad to me now even though it's not at all....

you can get hdmi cables for like $15 bucks, they only cost $100 at places like best buy or circuit city
