Amp trouble...need help!

Ok I dont have the best system, but it bumps pretty well. I have a Power Acoustik pa21200 powering 2 Audiobahn AW100t's and since this morning the amp's "protect" red light has been on. When i turn on my car, the amp goes right to it, and my subs dont play any music. I have a couple scraps im using (I attached a piece of an extra remote wire to the one I currently have to make it longer, and same with my rca cables, but until now it has been working fine for about 2 weeks.) could someone tell me what the problem might be? replie appreciated.

Check the ground. Maybe the bolt came loose from vibration.

Double check all your wiring(especially if you have splices). Most likely, one of your wires is grounding somewhere. Also, check the wiring where it is hooked up to your amp and make sure their are no "frays" touching terminals they shouldn't. If you have two sets of RCA's connected together, make sure they are not touching.

Definately get rid of the splices as soon as possible. I know from experience this will eliminate a lot of headaches.

hey thanks for the help, I have checked the ground, and it has been raining alot here, it looks like some water got on the screw...I am gonna reground it a few inches away, and see if it changes. Also I am gonna get my splices fixed, it looks hella ghetto too. haha. I will do what u said...and reply a little later...thanks

well it was to no prevail, I hooked everything up again, checked ground, power, remote, everything. I can turn it to low volumes, but once I get past the point where the bass actually registers it goes into protect, and shuts off. I dont know what the hell it is, but im getting new rear speakers in my car, I might just buy a new kit and have the guy do it for me so theres no more confusion.
