Amp Trouble, IA 20.1 Blowing Fuses

If you keep having problems email me nick@incriminatoraudio.com, but I'd go with a 200 amp fuse and check for ground issues. I'm not going to say there isn't something wrong with the amp, but it's very unlikely.

Also, try swapping your HU, as I know of 1 other incident of a faulty HU, and had the same exact symptoms as you are having

I have tried running the amp with no input signal, only having the power, ground, and remote cables connected. I still get a constant output of 42.4v AC on my multimeter, and that is with the gain all the way down...

So the sub is still popping with the RCA's unplugged?

Sounds interesting.....You may have a bad controller card on the board. UPS had to have done a hell of a job with it to screw it up, as 20.1's are normally bullet proof, but then again UPS could destroy an army tank!

I am waiting for nG to get talk with Nick about it. And it was sent through FedEx, not UPS (if it matters.) Would you guys be able to easily see if it was damaged during shipping?

**** that's odd if it's still popping even with the rca's out. sounds like a ground to me still but it could be something inside ya never know.

It only pops once when the amp comes on, more of a scratch than a pop, and then the sub draws always down and a second or two later the fuse blows...

I dont see how it can be a ground issue when my last setup ran for a month with no flaws, and it was a 3kw amplifier... I have a Yellow Top grounded to the right wheel well, grounded down to bare metal and the ground is 1/0 awg cable. Then the amp is grounded off that battery (battery is in the back). Everything is 1/0 awg welding cable, I have checked every inch of cable and there is no bare spots on any cable where it could cause a short.
