amp to factory h/u

im am going to be adding an amp and sub to a factory head unit and i was wondering where to connect the remote wire from the amp?

would connecting it to the ignition or battery wires from the harness work or no?

i hooked mine up to my antenna wire, but you can hook it up to ur fuses really anything that iwll send a signal that the car is on is good

ignition switch. That way it will power off the amp when you turn your key off.

*edit* I ment a source that is hot with the key on and dead with the key off.
