ok well i bought an mtx amp but it didnt fit the only problem is the width it has to be under 9 1/4 so far the only amp i found with that requirerment is the Lanzer OPTI4X400D, ive never heard of lanzer... is it any good and are there any good mini amps that are under 9 1/4 wide? thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

heres the lanzer http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14083

All i have is 4 infinity speakers, and a sub in the future not that much, just it is in a open air vehicle and i want somthing to boost the sound clarity, and it has to be under the seat so no one can see it to steal it. Where online can you buy memphis I did not find any sites.

Lanzers are low level amps, what are you trying to push with this amp, look at memphis ther new digital amps are really small and might be just what you are looking for
Lanzar opti amps are actually pretty good. The new ones are slightly overrated. Someone bench tested a vibe series for like 900watts.

why wont it fit just out of curiousity? obviously it is too wide to mount it where you want it, but i am sure that there are alternatives. what kind of car is this going in?

its going in to a wrangler with out a back seat, so there really is no place to put it out of sight other than under one of the front seats.

Where did you see the new optis are overrated? They are actually underrated. CA&E benched them and they were quite underrrated.
You wouldn't happen to have the stats sheets on them would you from the bench test. I would be curious to see what they did.

But as far as the OPTI's with the experience i have had with them. They are a pretty good amp that is fairly soild. Gooe price to performance ratio. They do not have all the extras that aren't neccessary that they high price amps of today have.

oh i see. those are toughies. maybe if you ever wanted to build onto your system with multiple amps then make a new floor for your jeep in the rear area and mount your amps under there. i do a lot of that stuff in open areas. usually i make a sealed box with the amps inside with a fan on one side pulling air into the box and a fan on the other side taking the air out of the box. after carpeting and touching up the edges you would never know that they are there. take away some of the eye candy for theives.

Rephrase:

The old ones are much more underrated then the newer ones. I know I guy with 4 of the olders and they are incredible power hogs that prosuce massive power.
