Well I did Certified and Uncertified tests from 4 ohm to 1 ohm and I did a 1 ohm dynamic test. EXACTLY What I thought! Those Mother F'rs are rebadging a 1500W amp and calling it a 2K Amp ( Actually does under 1500 Certfied, but not but much... Skar showed 1505W and that is probably a bit more accurate as the AD-1 is likely more accurate with the certified runs than the DD-1). I did get more dynamic power than the SKAR, but I also have more Voltage than there test (They were at 14V and I was at 14.4V), but even that was LESS than 2K.

If your looking for around 1500W, it's not a terrible amp actually pretty nice. It's got solid build quality and not compact by any measure. For the money though.... You can get the Skar for less, the Belva BB5000Dv2 outperforms it, The Orion XTR1500.1Dz is less money and also way outperforms it, and I will see how the Wolfram compares soon....

Until I am shown something else, the ratings on AB / VFL amps is pure BS.

I wonder if AB is still making their VFL line of spl amps (80.1, 100.1 etc.)

As soon as I saw the Skar board on their website, I was like WTF! It might do even LESS power than the Ph4000.... This isn't supposed to be the budget line, this is their "Comp Line" Made in Korea blah blah blah.... I'm hooking this thing up first thing Tomorrow when it comes in...

the only decent american bass amps are the actual VFL amps that are 80.1, 120.1, 150.1, 200.1, 500.1, 750.1, 11000.1

everything else is utter garbage. AB dealers have been trying to brainwash mother fkers for the longest time, there's one on here as well that exaggerated power claims to push product and soo many idiots believed him. He specifically stated people clamped 2.5k out of the vfl 4480.1 hybrid which is beyond retarded. Sold the amp for 350 shipped and said buying it from amazon and ebay for way cheaper wont get you covered by warranty basically strongarms people into buying from him.

I saw the same review when i was just getting back into car audio, and asked everyones thoughts. Against everyones judgement, i got mine from SonicE for $265.

I never had a means of clamping it, but i know by my @ss meter it wasnt 2k @ 1 ohm

The Phantom and VFL Hybrid 4480 I knew were nothing special, but I had assumed if they were going to make a Korean boarded amp, and rate it at 2K (This is a recently introduced AMP BTW) they might be legit... I was wrong.

I'm even upping my production value for your amp. Just got a DSLR Camera in, and will be using new lighting and a external lav mic now instead of the little sony handycam I have been using. 4K here I come! I do have a gigantic AGM battery I can use in addition to my power supplies, but god **** the thing weighs 200Lbs and is awkward to pick up.

Same as the Soundstream TN1.1200d and I have seen those as low as $133. Only amp I would pay a little more for with that board is the Polk Version as it has atleast been marinized.

guy here got that amp from that seller. wouldn't work at 1 ohm at all and smelled bad., he emailed them they said to bad so sad your problem..

The APSM 1300 was a decent budget amp that made rated power.
