amp suggestions

What happened to you running four of them per the other thread. Regardless of what you decided the takeaway in that thread is that 600 watts PER sub is recommended. Since you're going for 2 of them you would likely run a final two ohm load. So an amp that is rated for 1200 watts at 2 ohms would be just fine.

600 per is not recommended.

Your one of about 5 guys on this forum that I wouldn't argue with but if they're 600

Rms drivers then don't they call for somewhere around 600

Watts rms from an amp. -\+ 100-200 watts may be inaudible or can be offset with enclosure adjustment but I can't see

Otherwise how my statement was inaccurate. But I'm always down to be wrong and learn.

the cone wont move as much but it wouldnt be inaudible. A sub can be audible even with 50 watts if the enclosure design was efficient in the beginning.

There was a guy doing 150 dbs with head unit power. Still need to find the vid of that.

For most people including myself We just like the sub going bonkers with the excursion thats why we put a lot more power to the sub then needed. High excursion with clean power = a sub surviving. High excursion with clipped power equals instant funeral.

Here's a bunch of inefficient 1750 rms 12s all on a 200.4 channel amplifier

Okay well that makes sense. I've run subs for kicks on half the recommended continuous power to the same result you speak of (minimal excursion). I was simply trying to give a recommendation based on the assumption that the thread creator had not purchased an amplifier yet and was really looking to get full potential from his sub drivers.
