got 2 l7's dual 2 ohm vc....i can run them at either .5 ohm or 2 ohm...not sure if i should be looking at 1 ohm amps or not, i heard they wear out quicker....anyways did some searchen for the 2 ohm amps and this is what i came up with....

phoenix gold r15.0.1 octane series 1500watts at 2 ohm

rf power 1501bd 1500watts at 2 ohm

mtx 1501d 1500 watts at 2 ohm

or should i be looking at 1 ohm amps to get the most power out of the l7's

if so im open to suggestions...thx

Having an impeadance on the subs lower then the amp is capable of is very hard on the amp; causes heat buildup and eventual failure. Stick with a two ohm setup for durability.

so stick w/ the 2 ohm....thx.......any other suggestions for a amp that will power them?

i had 2 kicker 800.2 1 for each sub but im tryin to simplify my system as much as posible....iii hate f@ckin wires

Questions:

What's the RMS rating on your subs? Do you want clean, or just loud? What wattage are you going for?

Don't know what the Phoenix gold will do RMS wise, but 1500 is supposed to be its max. Here are some others to check out.

Later.

First of all u need a 2 ohm amp.a 1 ohm stable amp wont help u out on those 2 dvc 2 ohm L7s because u cant wire those into a 1 ohm load.search the forum as alot of people run these woofers and u can get some good ideas on what they use to pound these subs.

ok its now between the 1501bd or the1501 d........they both got great reveiws....i guess it really doesnt matter wich one i get their both great......favors though?

Rockford amps are not the best but they are solid amps.People like to hate on everything when it comes to car stereo.Kinda like if u dont use what they use then its not good.Well thats just not the case.If u have had 5 RF amps without any probs then by all means pick up another. It sounds like u like them alot so stick with em.
