Amp suggestion...

anybody have any suggestions on what amp to get to power 2 Alpine Type R 12" at 2 ohm... for a silverado ext cab.... kinda stuck

I'm using Alpine MRD-M1005 for two R's but it's too weak. I think you should search for amp around 1,5-2kW rms @ 2 Ohms. There is alot amps which can do this.

Because then I was testing my sistems voltage droped from 14.4V to 12V so I lost a lot power...

Well actually I didn't make SQ for for two Type R's. I made only SPL boxes and you see the results in my sig, car Renault Laguna hatch. But I think I can reach more db's only need powerful amp and keep voltage at atleast to 13V //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had SQ box for one Type R, it was 3cu.ft. tuned to 30Hz and I liked it. It sounded nice.
