Alpine PDX 4.150 (i think) or eclispe 4000?

I would like the PDX i dont wanna pay for the PDX. LOL I need a good amp to power focal 165KF. Nominal power is 80 watts. the Eclispe amp i am looking at has 75 x 4. What do I do? Save for the PDX? Is it worth saving for, will i notice a TON of differance? I want all potential from my speakers, without spending 700 on an amp. Can that happen, or am i dreaming?

PDX = 150 x4 -- tons of power

Eclisps 75x4 -- weak *** power, but might be enough

Suggestions?

The best thing about the PDX amps is that they are stackable and EXTREMELY small. I have heard one in a car audio shop and it sounded AWESOME on a set of alpine components, but they hit the pockets SOO hard. Go with an older alpine v12 amp if ur looking at alpine and save the money for the rest of the system.

i think the amp is the last piece of the puzzle. I have a decent speakers in the front / rear. I have an amp running my subs. It does the job, my subs might not be the best / loudest, but im happy with them.

Current Stats

HU - DEH-p680mp

Front componets - K2P 165 KF

Rear speakers - 570 cv1

Subs - 2 12 inch MTX 4500

Amp - JBL (i dont remember the model number) 250 watts peak power

I think an amp to power my speakers is the last piece. Comments on setup?

i say save the money for the pdx or the best amp you can afford so that you wont have to spend more money for something else down the line.
How about this........ 4channel amp bridged for 150 Watts x2. Bridging HU so i can 100 x2. I power front stage with amp, HU with rears. Would this idea work, or am i crazy?

you cannot bridge 2 channels on your headunit, not that i know of. i do remember someone mentioning an old school pioneer deck that can support bridge, other than that dont try it.

alright, i am just getting impatient i suppose. I don't really want to spend 1,000 on the PDX unless its truly worth saving for.

the PDX is 700

Install is prob 100

wires / cables 150 +-50

I know that is going to be an expensive purchase. 2x what the Ecllispe amp + install would be.

Good things come for those who wait they say.
