Jensen JPA1000D

I know, I know....Jensen. Generally the name alone is sufficient to deter any serious thought on a thread regarding their products.

But!

I was very recently exposed to the fact that Jensen (an Audiovox product now) makes an amp rated for 1000w RMS @ 1 Ohm. This output rating is apparently CEA-2006 compliant so going by that alone if you can feed it on a diet of 14.4vdc you will actually get a kilowatt out of it.

Has anyone seen/heard one of the "Power-series" Jensen amps?

I would be concerned about its ability to actually handle a 1ohm load. Other than that Jensen (atleast since audiovox bought them) has been making some decent products. The in-dash tv/dvd/cd players they have now are great for people on a budget and from what I have seen perform well.

By no means is Jensen up there with Eclipse, Kenwood, Pioneer...etc. but they certainly are changing alot of things.
