amp strapping

ok, right now i have a kicker kx1200.1from 2003 which can be strapped to another amp, my question is, if i get teh kicker zx1000.1 can it be strapped to what i have now, if not can the kicker kx1200.1 from last years model be strapped to waht i have now

I'm pretty sure they have to be matching amps. Just be patient and buy the EXACT same amplifier and mate the two together.
