My Kenwood 9103D is still shutting off. I noticed it shuts off more when its warmer outside. So Im assumin overheating. But it is fancooled..

i sanded down the ground, and redid the ring terminal for it

mines done differently. i ran 2 wires from each side of the box and they are twisted together at the amp. i did that for each side. maybe thats why? how would i fix it if that is the prob.

subs are kenwood 4 ohm svc

that amp has 2 + and 2 - for your speaker wires. i had that amp an did not have a problem with it. so when you say you ran two wires from each side and tied them together are you twisting both + to each other and both - to each other? i dont get why u have them tied together if you have 2 spaces for each + and - on the amp.

so when i twist both positive and both negatives together i'm runnin the amp at 1 ohm. is that what you're saying King Ranch.

the amp is 1 ohm stable too

i thought if u hook each sub to its own + and -, then it is at 4ohms

but when u twist them togehter and plug them into the amp u get 2. is that right?

no u run both pos from the subs to the pos on the amp and both negs on the subs to the neg on the amp making a 2ohm load

each sub is 4ohms wire them toghter gives u 2ohm load, if u want 4 ohm load u can only use one sub

You'd still be running them at 2 ohm. our subs are single voice coil. Most people deal with dual coil subs. Like Ranch said, make sure your gain is set correctly. If it is, check your voltage at the battery when it shuts off.

well if it shuts off at 4ohms maybe u arent giving the amp enough voltage check the volts at the amp

wat size alt batts and wire do u have, and make sure u set gains right and dont clip the amp

alt is stock

battery is yellowtop. i think 1000cold crankin amps

4 gauge wiring. my ground is 6 gauge for some reason.

i set gain by ear. ill redo it
