amp stays on

Hey i just hooked up my new system, and the problem is the amplifier stays on even when the car is turend off. I tried removing the remote wire and the amp still stays on. Can you guys think of what may be wrong?

Umm.....you disconnected the remote wire and it still stays on???

if thats the case then sounds like its hosed to me....worst case u could wire thepower wire to a relay thats triggered by the remote.....thats what im having to do w/ one of my amps.....

What kind of amp is it??

is your amp the only thing that stays on or does your hu and everything stay on also??

yea it was really weird but for whatever reason i hooked it all up again today and now it works fine, have no idea what went wrong, oh well thanks for your help everybody

Was your ignition key turned backwards??
