Amp-speaker wiring

Lol, never thought i would be asking for amp wiring help. ://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. But i need to know the easiest way to run two sundown 125.2's and one set of comps. Ive got mpyre mids and EQ screamer tweets. I obviously know i can run a speaker per channel, but how would i set my crossover point? Just curious. Thanks,

Also, i do not have an active ready unit, i have an Eclipse 8445. I will most likely run active in the future tho.

Ik i can run it mono by bridging each amp per side, but i obviously want stereo.

In the specs for your amp,

"Selectable HP / LP / FULL crossover

35 Hz - 300 Hz adjustable 18dB Low-Pass Crossover

75 Hz - 2,000 Hz adjustable 18dB High-Pass Crossover "

I'd say it's as simple as playing tones, with a radioshack SPL meter. Just tweak the HPF for the tweeters, and LPF for the woofers, so that each is set to your chosen crossover frequency...

Then toy with the frequency, to see what works in your car. (1 or 2 kHz, etc)

Then adjust the overlap, using your ears and the meter for the flattest response possible.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I was told to cross them around 3khz. So i would just set it to 300hz and do the x10 option correct? I heard Bi-amping is the way to go before active, but im not a good SQ guy so idk wtf im doign to tell you the truth. Im in SPL but a little SQ up front wont hurt.

yeah, use the x10 feature, and that should kick it up to 350-3000. Both knobs should be nearly maxxed out when you finish.
