I bought this amp off of ebay, And i know it is cheap and is not many watts its only 240w. But i am wondering will i get some boom from it and will it give me some good bass?

Rite now i dont have a amp and i have my sub wired to my one of my cabin speaker and it is taking power from the cabin speaker and is not giving the sub full power to push it good.

I have a Jensen XS12W sub this is what it looks like Sub And i bought this amp off of ebay, amp

I am wondering is that a good well Ok amp to push 1 sub? Will i notice any good gains from that amp sense i had the sub wired to one of the cabin speakers.

Let me get this straight, you purchased a FOUR channel amplifier to run a single subwoofer? Sadly, the time to ask questions was BEFORE you made your purchase, not after!

did you just say you had a sub hooked up to the factory speaker wiring?

you need to read A LOT... you have a TON to learn and you should do that before embarassing yourself on car audio forums. I mean i have seen some newbees and all but WOW...

With a 4 channel amp running 1 sub depending on the sub the wiring of the sub you might get half of the power to the sub if you are lucky. More than likely the sub should be single 4 ohm so bridge the front or rear channels of the amp to get the most power of that channel.

do you honestly think he is going to understand ANY of that? no offense to him or anything but seriously...

Love how everyone FLAMED me when i ask for help.. if you dont wanna help den dont post in da threaD!

No i dont have STOCK speakers in the back i bought new ones. And i just wired my sub onto it sense i didnt have a amp and it works but not enough power really and it is taking power from that speaker

The amp i kno its 4 channel. I might get or hook something eles up to it. But rite now i only have 1 sub and i am going to use 2 channels bridge to hook the sub up...

I was just asking is that a good amp. Will i get some power from it to power my sub. And a little boom

I didnt ask for all this other crap people are posting..

It will be a big improvement from what you have now so it is worth it for what you are trying to do at this point.
Thanks for the nice answer

Yeah i thought it will be.. Most of you guys are using 500w+ amps

But this 240w amp will give me alittle kick i bett...

I also might do this

Wire my 2 rear speakers to the amp and have the other 2 channels going to the sub. Sense my 2 rear speakers are not stock.

oh... well if the SPEAKERS aren't STOCK than I guess it is ok... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

so you have the sub AND a speaker hooked up to a single side of the factory speaker harnes...

Seriously... Do yourself and everyone on here a favor and have someone do this stuff for you. If you have it setup like that something tells me you probably don't know how to hook up an amp. It's not so much that we are flaming you (well, we kind of are but...) its just that sometimes you should know when to NOT do it yourself. For example if i needed a kidney transplant, I would not attempt to do it myself. Something tells me i might even know as much about doing a kidney transplant as you do about car audio though... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah well i have a friend that knows alot about hooking them up so he going to help me.. But he not with me so i cant always ask him is this gonna be good because he always says yeah....

But yeah thats probably what imma do.

Imme hook my 2 rear to 1 channel. Then I will bridge the sub on the last 2 channels.

But i should see a big difference though?

And yes i have the sub hooked to my rear speaker and like i connect the positive and negative onto the speaker from a another wire to wire the sub.

It doesn't give much push because its not enough power and its taking away a little power from that speaker.

Oh. Much much more than 500W.

Well, the fact you are wiring the sub to your headunit... Anything would be better. Even using a 4 channel amp to power it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif It also screams noob. Do everyone a favor, and go to your car audio shop and let them install it.

I don't really poke at low power amps too much unless I am repairing them, so I can't really make a recommendation.
