Amp shutting off... Massive P1500.1

I've got a bit of a problem I can't seem to pinpoint. I'm running a 15" Kicker L7 with a Massive Audio P1500.1. I am running around 1400-1500 RMS at 1 ohm. Stock electrical, stock battery. I have checked all electrical connections at the amp, battery, and HU.

Before today, I never had a problem with it. But today, while driving through town, I had it up a bit, and the amp shut off. Not in protect, shut completely off. I turned down the volume, and waited a few seconds, and turned it back up. Within 5 seconds of turning it back up it shut off again.

Now, if I leave the volume up(23/35 on the HU), the amp will not turn back on, but if I turn the volume down almost all the way(1-5/35 on the HU) the amp will pop back on, and continue playing until I turn it up again.

When I got home I decided to check to see if the amp was getting hot... and it was slightly warm to the touch.

My question is: What do you think is going on? The only think I can think of, is the amp is not getting enough power since I am still on a stock ALT/ stock sized battery... but before today I have never had a problem with it.

Any suggestions?

that used to happen to me.. i had it just sitting some where, not bolted down, so i put an extra peice of mdf down and screwed it into place so it couldnt move, that stopped my problem, hope this helps!

what size power wire do you have?? it is prolly a voltage drop my buddy's car did that until he upgraded to 1/0 ga and a second battery and the big three. his would cut completely too.

I figured it out. My Mini ANL fusible link ended up having a faulty connecting, somehow the actualy fuse screws cames loosened, shaking it around when the vibrations occured.
