Amp Shuts Off at High Volume

well shit I actually live off of 29, but galveston is on 31 I just have a galveston addy. Hell I could meet you sumtime whenever if you want J31Rob. Also i just wired all the wires back up and it doesn't drop to the low 12's anymore but the amp shut off at 12.8 volts this time.

Rid yourself of the cap, get a 2nd battery for the trunk. Should fix the dimming & voltage drop issue.

Why would you suggest that?

A second battery for your trunk is only good for Playing the stereo with your car off.

It actually would make the voltage drop worse.

It would require the alternator to work harder and have to pump out juice to two sources instead of one.

Unless you have an aftermarket H/O alternator I would never suggest to do such a thing.
