Amp shut off....why?

My mono amp has never overheated on me, let alone get hot...I was sitting at a stop light and all of a sudden the sub amp quit, no more bass.

The 4-channel is still working fine.

I get home and the mono is barely warm, not even hot. No fuses are blown and all the connections are fine..

I've had this set-up for over 2 months now with NO problems what so ever. Not like I ran over a speed bump going 60 mph which could have knocked something loose...I was just sitting at a stop light.

Any ideas fellas??

What amp? With the temperatures outside, maybe the amp went into protect because of the heat.
mine is the zx2500.1, its not the temperature because it shuts off right away when im near full tilt. the amp doesnt get a chance to get hot.

my sub is ohm'ing at 2.6 at the terminal, and my voltage doesnt drop below 14.2...what gives?
